I saw this and it made me think a lot about the new year. Sometimes the idea of the new year bugs me, every single morning is a chance at a new beginning not just some random calendar date. No matter how good the day was before, a new day brings so many new opportunities.
The part that hits me is how this one lone bird is going about learning to fly. There are tons of his bird buddies nearby but no one is helping. Maybe they think the bird is a bit nutty but it still makes me sad.
I also love that the bird just does not give up, just gets back up and keeps at it.
How will you be like this bird today?
How will you help those who are doing what everyone says can't be done?
I once heard a scientist talk about an invention he worked at for years. The thing was no one ever told him it wasn't possible so he stuck at it year after year. Behind his back people did talk, said what he was doing was simply not possible. He ended up inventing a new way for asthma medicine to be dispensed and was on his way to creating more medical patents than anyone else on the entire globe. He was doing what can't be done.
