Can I use my voice to type on a mobile device?

We showed you how to use your laptop to type by voice and that was pretty cool. Now check out how to do that on your mobile devices. Both of these samples are using the Google Docs app. It is recommended that you download the app before you start voice typing. iOS Note: These screenshots are using the iOS 11 beta. Your screen might look slightly different. Open the Docs app. Create a new document. Click the microphone on the keyboard. Start voice writing. 1. Science Journal - an update

We posted a few days ago about the new app from Google called Science Journal . After playing with it we found a few interesting things.  Check out Making & Science by Google. You can find this link by clicking on the hamburger icon in the app. I think the Activities To Try is a great place to start. It will walk you through how to use the app and some activities to try. All you need is an Android device to get up and running with this great tool. Example of an Android device: Samsung tablet or phone.

No idea how this app works but it is amazing!

There is a new Android app that Google just released called Science Journal . Not 100% sure how to use all the features but check out what it can do. I was measuring the noise level in the office. Pretty quiet so far. Ambient light at my desk. I moved towards the window and check out the spike! You can measure the acceleration on the X, Y and Z axis.  How might you use this in your classroom or life? Field day? Six Flags? Measuring the noise at home? (Sometimes my kids are just loud and now I have data to back it up!) How much ambient light is actually in this room?

On a limited data plan? Try this.

Kids have fun sharing their learning with the Seesaw app!

Great teachers are constantly working to learn where students are at on the path to mastery.  In today's classroom, students are using many different classroom spaces while engaged in tailored learning experiences, making it hard for teachers to gather the critical formative data they need.  How can any teacher keep up? I wish there was an app for that... (* harp sounds *) Seesaw ! The app's design allows students the power of choice in expressing their learning.  The teacher can review, approve, and comment on student work in moments.  An additional feature even allows parents to check out their child's learning through powerful sharing and notification features.   The steps are simple: Students open the app and scan their class QR code. Students share their learning by taking a video or picture, writing, drawing, or uploading a file. The teacher views and approves the submissions, providing comments. Second grade students in ...

Quickoffice - Now free for iOS and Android!

I just added Quickoffice to my amazing Samsung S4 phone.  I know I can use Google apps but we always like having options. Download and take a look.  What do you think? Also take a look at Keep.  Pretty handy app to have on Chrome and your phone.
