Help! My students keep responding to the same Seesaw activity!

Over and over and over again. Sometimes our youngest students enthusiastically post to the same Seesaw activity, flooding your stream. Help is here. Seesaw has a solution. Did you know you can archive activities to remove them from your feed? Follow the steps in this video from Seesaw: Important to note:  Archiving an activity only removes it from your class feed, preventing students from repeating the same activity.   Archiving an activity impacts all students, so make sure all submissions are in before archiving an activity. You do not lose access to the activity. Student posts will still appear in the journal stream.

Seesaw for Schools: DO and DON'T Tips for Wrapping Up the School Year

The end of the year is quickly approaching and Seesaw for Schools has been an essential tool for your class.  What do you need to do to wrap up your year of Seesaw?  This blog summarizes recommendations from the Seesaw help center and @EdTechJulieJ's PD in your PJs webinar.  It's time to check off the boxes so let's begin! Tip #1: DO verify students in your active class all have student IDs.   This step ensures student work will be accessible beyond this year and stays with the student. Log into Seesaw. Click on the wrench in the upper right-hand corner. Scroll down and click on Manage Students. Verify that your students all have IDs consistent with SIS.  If you cannot find student IDs, they will have to be added manually.  Email Colin and Doug for assistance. Tip #2:  DO create a favorites folder highlighting the best student work.   Adding their best work to a Favorites folder is a great way for students to celebrate their best work while also building a m

The free Google accounts only holds 15 gigs but you can always upgrade your storage for a fee. Check out Google One if you need more than 15 gigs. Two - How much is in your Drive? Start by opening your Drive. 1. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner. 2. Click Settings . Look at the top number, 143 gigs. That is much too big for a free account. View items taking up storage - Click and it will return you to your Drive. What you will see is every file in your Drive, from the largest to the smallest.

To schedule an email just click the downward facing arrow on the blue send button. Then click Schedule send . Pick from one of the preselected times or click the bottom to find another time that might work better.

Maybe it is the 47 cups of coffee talking but these carts have me thinking... (design thinking)

There is this grocery store by the gym I go to. There are many early mornings that I see a stray cart or two at the opposite end of the strip mall sometimes even as far as the street. I would imagine these carts are not cheap and cause issues for the other stores in the area. Who would want another store's cart clogging up the sidewalk and taking up parking spots? Did you know a runaway cart can hit about 35mph if the wind catches it just right? Think of the damage that can do if it hits a person or car! You could post signs, put a few cart corals in the parking lot but that does not seem to change shopping cart behavior. Think of every store with carts you have visited, it is the same, carts all over the place. Tonight we had about 87 things to do between the time we left school and karate. It was a wee bit stressful. The kids were taking care of the things outside which freed me up to hit Aldi. I have always thought the quarter for a cart thing was weird but the store
