Photography/Video Apps

Photography and video are powerful tools to leverage in the classroom.  Students can explain their learning, respond to discussion prompts and practice speaking/listening skills as they create their own videos, then watch and respond to classmates' videos.  Teachers can record content students can watch either on their own OR while you're present and walking around the classroom answering questions, conferencing with students, etc.  Here are a few tools to help:

*Use Camera app to take pictures/video (built-in on devices) - explore features/editing in camera!

*Use Photobooth (Apple app) for fun selfies and photos

*Use Flipgrid for video responses in class - teachers can create a free account and share the code with their class to post responses viewable to the class.

*Use Clips (Apple app) to make short videos including videos, pictures, graphics, text and more!  *Use iMovie (Apple app)  for something visually appealing! The trailer feature has templates that make short videos easy, or you can make your own

*WeVideo (high school) - use this editing tool to create and edit videos
