I downloaded this app and you will never believe what happened next.

This app is a cross between a texting app and a walkie talkie. You have the option to send a text, add a photo and send a quick voice comment to people in your contacts list.

I can click the play button to hear my message to Doug or listen to the audio clips he sent me.
If I hold down the orange button I can send him a new audio/voice message.

How might I use this in my life or classroom?
Check out this post on EdTechReview about using Voxer in your school.
Education Week also wrote about Voxer.

A wicked cool way to communicate to your children on any wifi enabled device.

(I kinda love this app. I used to love walkie talkies as a kid. This gives a similar experience without all the static and 9 volt batteries.)

Want to take it to another level?
Do you follow the #moedchat on twitter? They created this google doc you can add your voxer contact info to. Sometimes you need to say something that just won't fit into 140 characters and that is where Voxer comes in.

Hit me up on Voxer and let me know what you think.
I know the site might be blocked right now but the app works!

Wouldn't it be nice to have Gmail respond for you alerting whoever is emailing that you out enjoying your summer? Setting up your vacation responder is pretty simple, a few clicks and a save. Start by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner of Gmail. Scroll way down the page. Look for the vacation responder section. 1. Click to turn the responder on. 2. Add your first and last days away. We would recommend adding something short and to the point for the subject line. 3. Whatever you add here will be the body of the email you are automatically sending out. Save changes . That is it. Now your inbox will automatically alert people that you are not in your...
