Screencast-O-Matic




Screencast-O-Matic is the original online screen recorder for one-click recording from your browser on Windows or Mac with no install for FREE!  This software will allow 15 minutes of record that can be directly posted to youtube. 
**Warning: You will need to connect to the student network for this site to properly load.

Hint: After you click on the link above you will need to change the video to a higher quality to enable to to play properly.  In the lower right corner click on the small gear icon.  Select 720P.

Why would you use screen capture software in the classroom?
  • Introducing a new topic - the video is use to reinforce the skill at home or on a device.
  • Record a difficult experiment or demonstration that can be view later.
  • Demonstrate how access documents and upload assignments in moodle.

The list is endless.  It will change over time due to the needs of your class.

Annotate PDF? How might I do that?

So I have a PDF and I need to edit it. Here is one method that works pretty well for me. Open Word. Click File .  1. Click Open . 2. Click Browse . 3. Find the PDF you want to annotate. 4. Click Open . Click OK when you see this box. Bam! Your PDF now opens in Word. Note: you maybe have to click Enable Editing at the top of the screen. Finished editing and want to turn it back into a PDF? Click File . 1. Click Save As . 2. Click This PC . 3. Pick a location. I usually save things to my desktop. 4. Click Save as type - and choose PDF. 5. Click Save .
