Here is a well done Prezi about Evernote.  One of the all time best apps.  In a national poll it beats Pinterest 10-1 and Angry Birds 4-1. (*Note: This national poll may or may not be completely fabricated by a unnamed LiNC trainer.) Evernote- A Teachers Perspective on Prezi

Lindbergh Rocks!

I am so proud to be a Lindbergh teacher right now. We are at the METC (Midwest Educational Technology Conference), and I am in a session where our own Mariano Marin is presenting on BYOD (bring your own device). More tips and tricks to come later but just wanted to share that we are leading the way in our area....Parkway, Rockwood, and Francis Howell are all looking to US for how we are pushing forward with BYOD. Sometimes when we are right in the middle of our own little teaching world...we don't realize that we are experiencing history in the making!!! So cool-glad to be on this journey with all of you.

Amazing!

Angie and I facilitated a conversation today at edcampstl.  The most amazing part was that this PD event was unlike anything I have ever experience before.  The whole day was very casual and the purpose was to have meaningful conversations about topics you were passionate about. It appears this event will take place next year and I highly encourage you to join us! I am reviewing my notes and look for some idea to be posted later. I think the fist topic/idea I want to go deeper with is infographics.  I think we could use them at at any grade level.

What do we OWE our students?

Interesting question, isn't it?   Check out this list of rights regarding using technology as an educational tool, written as a student to their teacher.  What are your thoughts on the issue....what do you think students would say to us?

Happy Birthday Colin!
