My New Best Friend...Pinterest

Remember the olden days when you had a cork board and cut articles out of your favorite teaching magazines of things you wanted to try?   Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that lets you organize and share all of the amazing things you find on the web.  The best part is that you can browse boards created by your fellow educators-collaboration at its finest! Are you on Pinterest?  If not, e-mail Colin or Angie to request an invitation.  You will need to have a Facebook or Twitter account.  If you are, I would HIGHLY recommend you start following the LiNC team.  (And by team.... I mean crazy Pinterest Queen Angie M.)  http://pinterest.com/lindberghlinc/   You will not want to miss out on all of the awesomeness we will be posting to our boards. Dick Tracy + Kickstarter + You = Awesome!

There is this website that turns you into a VC.  (Venture Capitalist)  It will allow you to back certain projects at the ground level.  You fund the project and you get a little something in return.  The more you give the more you get. Here is the direct explanation from the website. What is Kickstarter? Kickstarter is a new way to fund creative projects. We believe that: • A good idea, communicated well, can spread fast and wide. • A large group of people can be a tremendous source of money and encouragement. Kickstarter is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands. Take a look at Kickstarter and then at the link below.  This simple project has me up at night thinking about all the amazing possibilities.  This watch serves as an extension of your phone.  I know I can't really explain it so just watch the video.
